General Assistance Medical Programs (GAMP)

The governor has announced that his administration has reached an agreement in principle on the next important component of the BadgerCare Plus plan to expand health care in Wisconsin.

Under this proposal, those who are uninsured and who do not have children under their care may now have access to primary and preventive care.

What does that mean for GAMP?

GAMP will be closing December 31, 2008.

All GAMP clients, as of December 31, 2008, will automatically  be enrolled in the BadgerCare Plus Core Plan for Childless Adults for 2009.  If your GAMP coverage was scheduled to end in November or December we have extended your coverage to the end of 2008.  If you are a new GAMP client you have a choice of 13 sites from which to apply.  The application fee will be waived during the months of November and December.
