Kohl ' s


Cintas


Kohl ' s is building a new 106,000-square-foot photography studio at 11300 W. Heather Ave. Kohl ' s will produce photography for its weekly newspaper circulars along with photos for use in-store, on-line and direct mail. The studio will employ 70 full-time workers.

Kangaroo Brands – Located at 7620 N. 81st St., plans to expand a building at 8222 N. Granville Woods Road adding 65,000 square feet to the 16,000-square- foot building and moving its pita chip production to the expanded building. Kangaroo has 37 employees. The company plans to add positions within a year after the expansion is completed.

Hydrite A chemical-maker located at 7300 W. Bradley Road plans to expand its main building by 50% and develop a new distribution center. They plan to add 50,000 square feet to its 100,000-square-foot facility. They are purchasing vacant lots at 6920 W. Bradley Road and 8045 N. Granville Woods Road.

Hellerman Tyton The company has its main factory and North American corporate headquarters at 7930 N. Faulkner Road. They make products for the telecommunications and transportation industries and are closing their Florida plant and adding nearly 100 jobs at its factory here.  

Lamplight Farms A division of the W.C. Bradley Co., Lamplight Farms is headquartered in Menomonee Falls. They are the market leader for outdoor torches, citronella fuel and candles, oil lamps and oil and will be leasing a building on North 81st Street for storage and distribution of their outdoor torches and oil lamps.

Andy ' s Andy Khullar is developing a service station and convenience store and a 2 bay laser touch-free car wash at 8200 W. Brown Deer Road. North Milwaukee State Bank will also occupy the first and second floors of the building. The bank will have walk-in as well as drive thru service. There is also office space will be available on the third floor.

Cintas Cintas designs, manufactures and implements corporate identity uniform programs, and provides entrance mats, restroom cleaning and supplies, promotional products, first aid and safety products, fire protection services and document management services for approximately 800,000 businesses throughout North America. Their headquarters are located in Cincinnati, OH. Their new Milwaukee facility, west of North 62nd Street on Mill Road, will include an industrial laundry, distribution center and offices. They expect to get to full production after the first of the year.

This summer Ald. Puente joined Mayor Barrett, state WHEDA Secretary Antonio Riley, as well as residents and officials from Horizon Development for a grand opening event for Granville Heights, a high quality senior apartment home development with over 20 units on W. Granville Circle (just off the southwest corner of N. 68th St. and W. Brown Deer Rd.) Amenities for the deaf and hard of hearing will be offered in the common areas and in some apartments. Those amenities include a video TTY system and telephone signaler via flashing light at entry, assisted listening devices in the community room and visual and auditory emergency warning system.

McDonald ' s In late October the McDonald ' s on 76th and Acacia Streets relocated to a new facility on 76th Street just south of Good Hope Road.



On October 25th Ald. Puente was on hand to help franchise owner/operator Robert Pyles (pictured here standing beside Ronald McDonald) dedicate the new upscale McDonald's at 7130 N. 76th St. The festive event – which also included representatives of other elected officials and special guests – attracted a few hundred patrons, and several door prizes were generously awarded to a few lucky winners. The alderman thanked Mr. Pyles for his investment in and commitment to Milwaukee and the 76th and Good Hope business district. The new McDonald's replaces Mr. Pyles' original location, which is closing its doors at 6574 N. 76th St. Pictured standing to the alderman's immediate right is Dwayne Edwards of the Department of City Development.
