The Neighborhood Investigation Division of the Criminal Investigation Bureau is primarily responsible for the investigation of all felony property crimes, including burglary, theft and auto theft. Specialized units in division include:

• The Financial Crimes Unit, who’s investigations include forgery and identity theft
• DNA Unit
• High Technology Crimes Unit, who examines and recovers various stored data
• Crash Reconstruction Unit, which assists in the reconstruction of vehicular accidents involving serious injuries or fatalities
• Fire Investigation Unit, which investigates fires of a suspicious or unknown origin.
