Violent Crime Division

The Violent Crimes Division is comprised of three sections:

  • Homicide Section. The Homicide Section of the Criminal Investigation Bureau is responsible for investigating all homicides, in-custody deaths and critical incidents.
  • Violent Crimes Section. The Violent Crimes Section of the Criminal Investigation Bureau conducts investigations related to suicides, felony assaults, shootings and other weapon-related offenses.
  • Robbery Section. The Robbery Section of the Criminal Investigation Bureau investigates robberies and thefts. These crimes include bank and business robberies, street robberies and thefts which target the vulnerable, including the elderly.
