Engine Houses

 Old Engine 18, located at 2602 N. Richards Street was in operation from 1890 until 1950.  This picture was taken by a neighbor around 1940.  Photo courtesy of C. Greger.
 

Old Engine 14 at 1554 W. Bruce Street.  It closed on May 1, 1965.

 


 

Old Engine 2, located at 1325 N. 4th Street.  Closed in 1961 when the new Engine 2 opened on 7th and Wells.


 

 

Old Ladder 5.  Closed in 1914 when Ladder 5 moved in with Engine 27. This building was designated as a City of Milwaukee Historical Site on November 15, 2003 by the Common Council Resolution # 030980.  To read the full Historic Preservation Study Report click here.
