Revolving Loan Program

The City of Milwaukee's EBE Revolving Loan Program is designed to assist Emerging Business Enterprises finance prime and sub contracts awarded to them.

Loan Program Parameters

Loan will be granted for up to 25% of the total contract dollars, with a maximum of $35,000 and a minimum of$1,500.
Loan funds may be used for working capital and/or bonding.
Loan repayment schedule will coincide with the contract payment schedule.
5% fixed interest rate.

Eligibility Requirements:

Certification by the City of Milwaukee Program as an Emerging Business Enterprise (EBE). If your firm was certified as a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) with the City of Milwaukee they are also eligible.
Recipient of a City, MATC, MPS or MMSD contract as a prime or subcontractor
Maximum number of loans four (4)
Business must be located in the City of Milwaukee (Post Office Boxes are not acceptable)

Performance Bond Program

The intention of this program is to spur economic development within the community, by developing bonding relationships between EBEs and surety companies. This public-private venture provides a non-transferable project irrevocable letter of credit up to $50,000 to a participating surety company. North Milwaukee State Bank is the lending institution participating in the PBP.

Eligibility Requirements:

Must have a contract with the City of Milwaukee
Must be in business a minimum of three years
Must be certified with the City of Milwaukee
Business must be located in the City of Milwaukee (Post Office boxes are not acceptable)
