Two Notorious Street Gangs Taken Down

Mar. 6 - In the culmination of a yearlong investigation into the drug dealing activities of two notorious Milwaukee street gangs, a large-scale takedown involving 324 law enforcement personnel was executed in the early morning hours of Wednesday, March 4, 2009.

U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Wisconsin Michelle Jacobs, Milwaukee Police Chief Edward A. Flynn, Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett, FBI Special Agent in Charge Richard Ruminski, and members of Milwaukee HIDTA (High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area) announced the takedown at a March 5 news conference.
