RSS Delivers The Barrett Report to You!
RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication. RSS feeds are a great way to save time! The news you want is automatically delivered to your computer as it becomes available.
How Do I Get Started?
First, you'll need to get a feed reader. These are also called RSS aggregators. An aggregator simply collects the information from the websites that you're interested in, organizes it and displays it for you to read. There are two types of readers: Web-based and application-based. Many popular websites and browsers feature built-in aggregators. Or you can search the Internet and choose one of the many free or low-cost options that are available.
Once you've downloaded and installed an RSS reader on your computer, you're ready to subscribe to any of the RSS news feeds currently offered on Milwaukee.gov, by copying and pasting this Web address into your feed reader list: http://www.milwaukee.gov/thebarrettreportrss
