Captain Harpole began his career with the Milwaukee Police as a police aide on September 9, 1985.  He was promoted to police officer in 1987, police sergeant in 1996, lieutenant of police in 2000, and to his current rank of captain of police in 2005.  Captain Harpole has worked in a number of Department locations throughout his career, including the Identification Division, Data Services Division, Districts Two, Three, Five and Six, the Communications Division, Patrol Support Division, and the Internal Affairs/Professional Performance Division.  Captain Harpole has a BA in the Administration of Justice from Marian College and is a 2004 graduate of Northwestern University School of Police Staff and Command.  Captain Harpole is currently enrolled in a graduate degree program and is also working on a certificate in Public Administration from the UWM School of Continuing Education.  Captain Harpole is married and has two daughters.
