Captain Kurt Leibold joined the Milwaukee Police Department in February of 1990 as a Police Officer. Since that time he has been promoted to the ranks of Police Sergeant, Lieutenant of Police and is now a Captain of Police assigned to the Violent Crimes Division of the Criminal Investigation Bureau.
As a member of the department he has been recognized for his outstanding service. This includes being awarded a Superior Achievement Award and numerous meritorious arrests for robbery and burglary. Captain Leibold holds a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Criminal Justice Management. Additionally, he successfully completed Northwestern University's Center for Public Safety's School of Police Staff and Command. Prior to his assignment in the Criminal Investigation Bureau he served as the temporary Commander of the Professional Performance Division.
