New Legislation

The following legislation was enacted by the Milwaukee Common Council at its most recent meeting of November 3, 2009:

File 090428 requires that owners of vacant buildings register and maintain them.

Files 090687  approves city funds for "The Moderne" development at 1141 N. Old World Third St.

File 090838  directs city lobbyists to seek passage of state legislation related to straw buyers of guns, the reporting of lost or stolen guns and prohibiting felons from being within 1,000 feet of a gun establishment .

File 090352 requires Finance and Personnel Committee approval for any amendment to a City contract issued for less than $50,000 which later results in the contract amount being $50,000 or more.

File 090777 approves the borrowing of $48 million, to be reimbursed by the Milwaukee Public Schools, to pay for physical upgrades to buildings.
