Payment by Mail

Delinquent Property Tax payments may be mailed to the Milwaukee County Treasurer's Office. Detach the remittance advice located at the bottom of the delinquent property tax bill and include it with your check in the envelope provided for mailing. Please also identify your parcel number by writing it on the check.

• To ensure your payment is applied correctly, please include the parcel number / tax key number on the memo portion of the check.
• Do not mail the entire bill. Delinquent Property tax bills will not be returned!
• The envelope's postmark date is the date used for crediting payments received via the United States Postal Service. It is also the date considered in applying additional penalty and interest charges on the delinquent taxes.
• For your protection, do not send cash through the mail. 

A payment receipt will be mailed to the property owner and person or organization making the payment if different.
