City of Milwaukee residents can start raking their leaves into the curbs starting October 1. Public Works crews will start collecting the leaves on October 12. In previous years the Sanitation staff has collected over 13,000 tons of leaves. Leaves and brush are collected separately from garbage and composted, conserving natural resources while saving the City money.
GREEN tip... Residents are encouraged to mulch leaves and leave grass clippings on the lawn. This saves time and money and adds nutrients to the soil. Click here for more leaf collection tips and regulations.
