Sign Language Interpreting

As a service to the deaf, deaf-blind, hard-of-hearing and hearing population of Milwaukee County, access to sign language interpretation, real-time captioning and state-of-the-art assistive listening equipment are coordinated through the Office for utilization with Milwaukee County services, programs, and activities.

Members of the community may obtain this service by contacting the Office by voice, TTY, fax or e-mail.  

The Office for Persons with Disabilities is the fixed point for coordinating sign language interpreting services in a variety of Milwaukee County programs. An emergency procedure is in effect 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The emergency pager number is (414) 222-8109.
