The information provided here is a resource for laboratory and health professionals. The current situation and available information on the 2009 influenza A (H1N1) virus outbreak may change rapidly and this page will be updated to reflect new information. The MHD lab is providing laboratory support (testing, specimen collection and packaging supplies, specimen transport arrangements, consultation, etc.) to Wisconsin public health care providers and to our clinical laboratory partners during the 2009 H1N1 Influenza A (H1N1) virus outbreak. We are currently using the CDC algorithm and approved test methods to detect and confirm all samples submitted to our laboratory for influenza typing.
