Bilingual Preschool Story Time
Preschoolers are invited to the library to hear stories, sing songs and learn finger plays. Child care centers welcome.

Nursery Rhyme Time
For children birth to 18 months and an adult. A half-hour of stories, songs, finger plays and hands-on sensory exploration.

Early Learning Family Pizza Night
For families with children ages 5 and younger. Come for a fun-filled night with pizza and a story time presented by Milwaukee Public Library's Ready to Read staff. Learn the six skills to develop in children so they are ready to learn to read when they enter school.  Free pizza is included with this workshop. Children will be treated to a special story time. Each family will receive a free gift. Space is limited, call 286-8423 to register.

Homework Help
Homework Help for children in elementary school is offered at Forest Home Library. Volunteers listen, guide, and advise children with their homework needs. Hours are generally weeknights from 4 to 8 p.m. Please call 286-3083 for specific days and times.

Free College, Career and Apprenticeship Help
COMPASS Guide
is a Web site (
www.compassguide.org) that has Milwaukee's first searchable database of local scholarship information, in addition to general information on career planning, college and apprenticeship choices. It's free and easy to use. Coaches are available to help teens, parents or mentors get started using COMPASS Guide. Stop in any time during coaching hours.
