Tip from the Pro:
Using your scorecard for hints on improving your game
Fall is the best time of year to work on changes to your swing--but just what changes should you make to get better?
If you're like most golfers and aren't quite sure of what to work on, try using your scorecard to help you figure this out. Start by keeping track of stats on your scorecard during your next 4 or 5 rounds. Chart your fairways hit, greens hit in regulation, putts, and also total how many shots you take from 100 yards and in.
With this information, you now have feedback that will help you determine the areas needing work. Take your stats to your local PGA Professional to formulate a plan for fall and winter practice. By concentrating on your weaknesses, you should be able to make the changes necessary to get to the next level.
Remember, fall and football don't end the golf season. As you enjoy great fall specials at Milwaukee County Golf Courses, chart your round to find out the next step in becoming a better golfer. Enjoy the colors of the season!
